Tell me. What is it you don't like about yourself? The size of your ears? The shape of your nose? The way your mouth moves when you talk? These three things are my weaknesses. I have always been critical of myself...of course who isn't? Living in a world like this. Seriously...image is everything if you plan to survive here. You're walking through a grocery store, you glance to your left, and there is a shelf with dozens of magazines...and on the cover of each one is a perfect girl.
Perfect - Adj - free from any flaw or defect in condition or quality; faultless.
Does this sound real? A girl with NO flaws...perfect figure.....perfect face.....perfect everything?
There is another word that starts with P that goes hand in hand 'perfect'.
Photoshop!
That's right. They are fake! No-body is perfect...but alas, the world believes what the world wants to believe. And if you aren't perfect...then you don't fit in. We are our worst critics. It's true! I mean seriously....who else would notice that tiny little mole behind your ear except you? It's not like a random stranger is going to waltz up, study your ear, and then say 'gross! You have a mole!'. Nope...no one would do that (unless they are seriously creepy...). We notice things, we notice flaws...but here's the truth. We ARE flawed!
Every time you look in a mirror, what do you think? Do you think 'I am beautiful, and made in God's image! He has made me just how he wanted to, that is just incredible!' or do you think 'Jumping Jellybeans I have a zit!'.
"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight."
1 Peter 3:3-4
The lord made us in HIS image, he made us how he WANTED us to be. Are we perfect in the world? No. Are we perfect in God's eyes? Yes! Now what matters more...the way God sees us, or the way the World sees us?
Think about it. I don't want you to give the Sunday school answer of 'God!'. I want you to really think about it. Be honest.
He made us beautiful...and we ARE beautiful. It is the inside that counts. I know you have heard this a million times, but it is true!
But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."
-1 Samuel 16:7
Be original. Be yourself.
I have a challenge for you:
Challengee - Anyone daring enough to try.
Challenge - for 3 days, cover up your mirrors. Don't wear makeup. Don't look at your reflection. Don't look at yourself at all. Just feel beautiful! Be who God made you to be...just be yourself, and live for the Lord! :)

Goodmorning Ladies!

I am sitting on my bed, swinging my legs lightly and getting ready for church. I look out of the window, and the misty air reminds me of the chilly sweep of Winter that is on the verge of appearing. Even though the leaves are just beginning to fall, Winter sparkles like a shining star, so far away yet so visible. God made this season, he made the little winter berries and the sparkling snow. Incredible. I know winter is coming, with the snow, but did you ever think of the snowflake? Look at how detailed just one, single point is. And every snowflake is different! Every Single One! I think this is just amazing.
After that small tidbit from my mind....I am wishing everybody a pleasant Sunday! Isn't it wonderful to wake up wonderfully early, stretch and smile, knowing that soon you will be in the nice warm church where you learn all the things that Jesus has done. I love it...

Every one
Isn't it odd when you think that God knows each and every one of us? Sure when we first think of it, we say 'he is God! Of course he could do it!', but really, think of how many of us there are. It is like having a barley field that stretches for ten miles, and he knows the type, name, and every little property and EVERYTHING about EVERY barley plant in that field. And then he knows the names of the stars, think of how many stars are in ONE galaxy, and then how many galaxies there are. This just amazes me!
Matthew 10:29
29For only a penny you can buy two sparrows, yet not one sparrow falls to the ground without your Father's consent. 30As for you even the hairs of your head have all been counted. 31So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows!Wednesday, October 13, 2010
Why am I making this blog?
Why am I making this blog? Well, that is simple. To glorify the Lord and help girls grow closer to the Lord! I am creating this blog so girls can chat freely about bible verses and what they believe in, and so we can have bible study's and get to know the Lord better.
You may want to know a little bit about me before you consider joining:
It is true, I am SURE you want to know a little more about me. I am a teen girl growing up in the beautiful mountains God has blessed the small valley of Teton Valley with. I believe that Jesus died on the cross to save my sins, and that if you accept him into your heart and believe in him, you will be saved!
John 3:16-For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Simple as that!
I really hope that a lot of girls will join, and come to this blog on their own will to learn about Jesus and to help me spread his word around! God bless!
